A Day in Tubac

One week ago we had opportunity to take my sister Marilyn to a favourite town in Arizona, Tubac.

We travel about an hour and a bit south, like we would be headed to Mexico, and turn off at the exit marked with the name of the town. Once a year they have a Festival of the Arts which draws good numbers of visitors.

There is a lovely atmosphere to the town that is warm and inviting.

We stopped at a local eatery...

where we sat on the patio and enjoyed the warmth of the sun.

I had enjoyable company... :)

Of course I had to take Marilyn to my favourite shops. This is the shop that sells photos of burros that I tend to want to collect. Much easier to have a photo than a live one!

If you come to visit and we go to Tubac you will get your photo taken between these two cowboys! I do that to all my friends.

Sherwin met us there and we three enjoyed this small oasis in an otherwise warm and dusty day.

Lovely to sit among the greenery.

And another lion to shoot!

On the way home we stopped by the side of the road to view a cristate that we had been told about. Once people know you love the crested saguaros you hear of locations to view.

Have a lovely week and above all, be well.
